Today, the media are important sources of soft power and the West is seeking to represent what it wants not what is true
Meanwhile, the video games have become one of the most popular media.
The West cunningly is trying to use this medium to spread Islamophobic tendencies.
In the video game named “Serious Sam: The Second Encounter-Persepolis Courtyards of Gilgamesh” some evil forces are displayed at Islamic sites in green, a color which is known as a symbol of Islam.
If you take a close look at arabesque patterns displayed in the video game, we will notice some parts of the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), saying “I am the city of knowledge and Ali is its gate”.
The designers of the game have cunningly tried to associate evil forces with Shi’ite Islam and particularly, the followers of Imam Ali (AS).
Has not the time come for us to show the real face of Islam and Shi’ism through using the capacity of this medium?
